Dendrobium laevifolium

Dendrobium laevifolium is a miniature orchid from the south Pacific, Bougainville, the Solomon Islands, Vanuata, and New Guinea.  It belongs to a group of miniature Dendrobiums called the Oxyglossums.   The plants are two to three inches tall and the flowers about an inch in size.  The flowers are very long lasting and the plant is very floriferous.  This particular plant is potted in live sphagnum moss in a small bonsai pot.
